Sai Baba Sansthan, Shirdi Trust has introduced an Online Darshan Booking for Sai devotees which are providing them an option of not standing in a line for several hours to have darshan of Sai baba Samadhi Mandir to pay their respect. Those who register online will not have to stand in the darshan queue for more than an hour. They will be told the estimated time when they can pay their respect and will be able to finish their visit within an hour. The devotees sitting at their home can also watch live darshan on television.

Shirdi Sai Live Darshan is broadcast from Shirdi Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir is scheduled between 4 a.m. – 11.15 p.m. (Indian Standard Time).

Baba has promised “I shall be active and hearty even from the tomb,” and in the Mandir that we can most fully practice the happening of Sai Baba and the amazing way he has touched the hearts and lives of millions of people from all over the globe.  Baba’s presence is felt when one has Baba’s look, when one sits at Baba’s feet.

Sai Baba is among the first saints in Modern India. Shirdi was the abode of this holy saint for more than sixty years, resultantly this place has become a major tourist attraction and Sai Baba devotees visit this place from all corners of the world.

Shirdi is a town that has witnessed the miracles of Sai Baba, and thus the small hamlet is thronged by devotees all round the year. Among other pilgrimage attractions of Sai Baba, the Samadhi Mandir, which is built with white marble stones, with two silver pillars and Sai Baba’s marble statue seated on a throne is a blissful sight. This marble idol was built was Balaji Vasant.

Dwarkamai is the holy Mosque, and has the powers to bring joy to the wretched and the poor. This is the holy place where Sai Baba used to stay and meet devotees to solve their problems. There is an eternal sacred fire called Dhuni, which is burning since hundreds of years. The sacred ash is also collected from this mosque and distributed to the devotees.

Gurusthan is the spot under the Neem tree where Sai Baba was first seen. According to Sai Baba this place is holy because the Almighty God rested there.

Lendi Baug is the flower garden which was watered by Sai Baba daily, and is still maintained by his devotees today.

The Khandoba Mandir is the main temple situated on the main road.

Apart from the miraculous Shirdi Sai Temple there are other smaller temples of Sai Baba located in various cities, where local devotees visit and worship their guru. Thursdays are important darshan days and devotees sing bhajans and give alms to the poor on this day. The devotees of Sai exist much beyond Shirdi and India and he has ardent followers all across the world.

Sai Baba of Shirdi was a very a very popular yogi, Indian guru and a fakir. Both Hindu and Muslims are devotees of Sai Baba. According to Hindu devotees, he was the embodiment of Lord Dattatreya and many believe that Sai Baba was a Satguru or an enlightened Sufi. He is popular in many countries of the world; however his maximum devotees are in India.

Real name of Sai Baba is unknown. He got his name as ‘Sai’ on his arrival at Shirdi. There is no information available about his birth place or birth date because Baba never shared his past life with anyone.

Word ‘Sai’ is originated from Sanskrit language whose meaning is ‘Sakshat Eshwar’ and meaning of word ‘Baba’ means father or old man.

Baba had never used any luxurious things and self realization was his sole disquiet. He gave lessons of love, charity, helping others, forgiveness, inner peace and devotion to God. Teachings of Sai Baba include elements of both Hinduism and Islam. He was used to practice rituals of both Hindu and Muslims, lived in a mosque and gave it a Hindu name Dwarakamayi. He used to teach lessons based on both the religions and in the end he was buried in a Hindu temple at Shirdi.

His well known saying ‘Sabka Malik Ek’ is connected with Sufism and Islam and he always spoken ‘Allah Malik’.

There are so many leaders of Hindu religion who were the devotee of Sai Baba. Some of his followers got famous as saint or spiritual figures such as Saint Gangagir, Upasni Maharaj, Mhalsapati, Sati Godavari mataji, Saint Bidkar Maharaj, etc.

There is a temple in name of Sai Baba located at Shirdi and many people come here every year to get blessings of Sai Baba.

The great Sai Baba is also presumed to be reincarnation of Lord Dattatreya. What is so eternal about the saint who lived in small village called Shirdi? He is believed to have come in Shirdi in year 1854 & in his whole life of around 64 years, he often mediated Allah Malik! Sai Baba never preached any kind of lectures. Neither did he influence, hypnotize or instigate people into any mantra or like rituals.

Instead he communicated their minds & worked on them, thereby transformed them from inside.

His preaching’s actually made them sacrifice their karmas to their advantage to attain self realization.

He is also reported to have cured many of innumerable incurable & deadly contagious diseases and served the people without any expectations.

For over 64 years he presented the strength of karma to millions of devotees to accomplish peace of mind, self belief & the power of self control. Shyam Rao Deshpande, Das Ganu, Nana Saheb Chandodkar, Tatya Saheb Noolkar, Bapu Saheb Butty are some of those many who served whole heartedly in the name of Baba as long as they lived.
